We went way over budget in Prague (shocker!). This was the first time we saw firsthand (just like we learned that group tours will severely ramp up your spending), that fast paced travel will also…destroy the budget. We had 5 days in the Czech Republic where we tried to fit in as many activities as possible. Additionally, we flew in from Norway, and the cost of that flight also gets bucketed under Czech Republic costs. Let’s just say we spent 10 days in Prague, did the same number of paid activities just at a slower pace, and found more free/leisurely things to do such as watching sunset every evening at the park, we could have been able to spread not only the flight, but also the costs of paid activities across those 10 days instead of 5, which would’ve gotten our daily average a lot lower.
