Indonesia was our last stop in this South East Asia leg of our world trip. Coming to Bali our goal was get our running daily average spend below $123/day before heading off to Europe where we were expecting it to probably go back up. Thanks to the many relaxing villa and beach days we had, and the delicious and extremely affordable food in Bali, we had no problem bringing the average down to $123/day by the end of our stay.
Some notes:
– Food was our most expensive category at $481. This comes out to a about $3.80 per meal per person. Not bad at all right?
– Our second highest category was activities. Of the $363 we spent, our most expensive activity, which I HIGHLY recommend doing, was hiking Mt. Ijenfor $258 (for the 2 of us)
– For lodging, the cheapest night was $14 and the highest was $29. We always booked a few days at one place on Airbnb or Agoda, and then if we liked the place, asked to extend at a discount and paid in cash.
