Croatia was somewhere that’s known to be a cheap European destination but we didn’t necessarily feel this way! From the tourism industry recovering from the world shutting down for the past few years, to global inflation, to the rise of popularity of Croatia due to Game of Thrones, prices were pretty on par with your typical European hot spots.
Some notes:
– Food was our most expensive category at $994. I want to note that we were traveling with a group for the majority of the time and having group dinners/outings/drinking which definitely ramped up our spending in this category.
– The miscellaneous category of $515 mainly consisted of the tip for our INCREDIBLE Medsailors skipper and replacing an electric toothbrush that I tragically forgot in a hotel room. RIP.
– The cost of lodging is lower than usual due to us getting the opportunity to work with Medsailors for the week. For the nights we were on our own, we averaged around $70/night
