What We Spent in Vietnam

Just a reminder we budgeted $45,000 between the two of us for one year of travel. This comes out to $123 per day. Speaking of $123, Vietnam’s average spend was well below that! Woohoo. Once again, all of these South East Asian countries could have been done on an even lower budget (easy to say after the fact right?)

Some notes:

– Activities was our highest category $655. We did the Ha Giang Loop with EZ-riders (you sit on the back of a motorcycle and have a driver) for 4 days/3 nights. It cost $583 and included 3 nights at homestays, 1 night before and after the trip, all meals across all of these days until the second we left!

– Our custom-made clothes in Hoi An (that were done in 24 hours!) came out to $55 and included 1 tank top, 1 linen button down and matching shorts set

– Our second highest category was flights. Had 2 flights, one from Bangkok for $307 and one from Da Nang to Ho Chi Man/Saigon $142
